PRESQUE ISLE, Maine –
Taylor Webster and
Kirra Magaña each scored two goals in the Mariners 6-0 win over North Atlantic Conference opponent University of Maine, Presque Isle.
Taylor Webster scored the first goal of the game and her first collegiate goal in the tenth minute and was assisted by
Kirra Magaña. She then went on to score her second goal in the twenty-fifth minute that was assisted by
Abby Wong. This was Webster's first multi-point game of her career.
Kirra Magaña not only had an assist on Webster's first goal but she scored two goals of her own. Magaña's first goal came in the twenty-second minute and was assisted by
Sophia Hernandez. Her next goal was the fourth of the game and was also assisted by Hernandez.
Piper Baumgarten scored the fifth goal of the game, assisted by Hernandez. This was
Sophia Hernandez's first game with multiple assists.
Bethany Ives scored the final goal for the Mariners, coming unassisted.
Isa Thesing played 71 minutes in net for MMA and had no shots on goal.
Ella Bowes played the final 18 minutes, ending with one save. Marissa Harvey played in net for UMPI and finsihed with 9 saves.
The Mariners return home for their next game on Saturday, Oct. 7 against Northern Vermont University -Johnson at 12:00 PM>
