CASTINE, Maine - Maine Maritime Academy women's soccer will face Amherst College in the first round of the NCAA Division III Championships. The teams will take the field at Babson College on Saturday, November 11 at 10:30 am.
 
The Mariners (15-14-1) defeated Morrisville State 1-0 on Saturday to claim their first North Atlantic Conference title since 2021, the program's third overall. The Mariners will be making the program's third NCAA Tournament appearance.
 
The Mammoths (16-1-1) captured the 2023 NESCAC Championship with a 2-1 win over Bowdoin College on Saturday. The NESCAC title was the seventh in the Mammoths' program history. Amherst enters the tournament ranked #1 in Region 1.
 
Saturday's contest will mark the second meeting between Maine Maritime and Amherst in the NCAA postseason. The Mariners fell to the Mammoths in the opening round of the 2019 tournament in a game at Amherst.
