BOURNE, Mass.—After an impressive second-place finish at the New England Dinghy Tournament the Maine Maritime Academy team secured a qualification for the upcoming NEISA Fleet Race Championship.
 Â
Over nine races the pairings of
Henri Richardsson (Cohasset, Mass.) and
William Ries (Sarasota, Fla.), and
Ella Beauregard (Southport Island, Maine) and
Margaret Archibald (Saco, Maine) sailed in conditions ranging from barely more than a puff out of the NW to 15 knots out of the NE on Great Herring Pond.Â
The team now looks forward to competing against the top teams in the district at the Fleet Race Championship which will be held at the end of the month at Connecticut College in New London.
The Mariners return to action this weekend at the Massachusetts Maritime Team Race Individual on Sunday, April 16.
