CANTON, N.Y. – Maine Maritime women's lacrosse fell to Husson University 15-16 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) semifinal matchup on Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened: Husson University got off to a quick start on the Mariners, outscoring them 2-5 in the first quarter. The Mariners regrouped in the second quarter, cutting the Husson lead to two, before the Eagles scored four straight goals to extend their lead to six.
Lily Cook (Southwest Harbor, Maine) ended the half with a goal to make the score 6-11 going into the second half.

Hazel Stoddard (Old Orchard Beach, Maine) came out on fire in the third quarter, scoring all three of the Mariners' goals, while the Eagles scored three as well to make the score 9-14 going into the fourth quarter. The Mariners dominated the fourth quarter, outscoring the Eagles 6-2 to cut their lead to one, but unfortunately it was too little too late and the Eagles came out on top with a 16-15 win.

- Stoddard led the Mariners with a game-high 10 goals, along with eight draw controls, three ground balls, and two caused turnovers.
- Kirra Magaña (Miami, Fla.) added three goals and two assists, in addition to seven draw controls.
