Four Different Mariners Score in 4-0 Win Over UMPI

CASTINE, Maine – Mayako Brown, Kirra Magaña, Sophia Hernandez, and Piper Baumgarten each score a goal to help the Mariners earn their third win in a row, a 4-0 victory over the University of Maine Presque Isle.
 
Goal #1 (MMA): Maine Maritime's first goal was scored 7:09 into the contest. Mayako Brown got the ball into the back of the net, her first collegiate goal. Sierra Hoops picked up the assist.
 
Goal #2 (MMA): After the Mariners earned a corner kick, Sierra Hoops kicked the ball in and connected with Kirra Magaña who scored the second goal for the Mariners (9:27).
 
Goal #3 (MMA): 14:49 into the game the Mariners scored their next goal. Sophia Hernandez took a shot on net that was then deflected off a UMPI player into the net. This credited Hernandez with her first collegiate goal.
 
Goal #4 (MMA): Piper Baumgarten also scored her first collegiate goal 21:40 into the game. Abby Wong got the assist on the goal, the first of her collegiate career.
 
Notes
  • Isa Thesing appeared for 63:38 in net for the Mariners, ending with two saves.
  • Ella Bowes got her first in net appearance for MMA for 26:22, earning one save.
  • Currie Maggee played the full 90 minutes in net for UMPI, finishing the game with 12 saves.
