LYNDONVILLE, Vt. – Maine Maritime men's soccer opened up 2023 season conference play with a 4-0 shutout victory on the road against Lyndon.
Goal #1 (MMA 1-0): Maine Maritime got their first goal early in the 8
th minute.
Dillon Wilkinson passed the ball over to
Holden Nichols who then got the goal, his first of the season.
Goal #2 (MMA 2-0): Just four minutes later the Mariners scored their second goal by
Reuben Harrison and assisted by
John-John Dickenson.
Goal #3 (MMA 3-0): Three minutes after his last goal, Harrison grew the lead for Maine Maritime even more scoring his second goal of the night, assisted with a cross pass from
Dillon Wilkinson, his second assist of the night.
Goal #4 (MMA 4-0): In minute 37 the Mariners scored their final goal of the night.
Harris Stoddard shot the ball first and then
Xander Fortuna-Ramos was there to get the rebound and score. This was Ramos first goal of the season and Stoddard's first collegiate assist.
Notes
- Reagan Moynihan and Justin Labelle split time in net for the Mariners, each ending with zero saves.
- Robert McDonald was in net the full 90 for Lyndon, finishing with 14 saves.
- Mickey Calderwood got the most shots off for MMA (8).
- The Mariners held the Lyndon Hornets to zero shots.
