BANGOR, Maine--The Maine Maritime Academy women's soccer team saw its 2024 season end on Saturday in a 5-4 shootout loss to Lesley University after their North Atlantic Conference Tournament East Division Quarterfinals officially was played to a 2-2 tie in double overtime on the campus of Husson University at John P. Boucher Field.
No. 3 seed Maine Maritime, which was the 2023 NAC tournament champion, finishes with a 7-5-5 record, while the second-seeded Lynx improve to 10-6-3 on the season and move on to Sunday's semifinals against host Husson, which dominated UMaine-Farmington 8-0 in this afternoon's other quarterfinal.

- Sacha Porter found the bottom right-corner for the deciding goal in the seventh round of the shootout after goalkeeper Madison Reed, who came off the bench to play the PKs, made a diving save to her left on MMA's final attempt.
- Seniors Kirra Magaña, Hazel Stoddard, Emma White and Hadley Stoddard scored MMA's goals in the PK shootout.
- Maine Maritime had shootout leads of 2-0 and 4-3.
- Lesley outshot MMA by a 22-9 margin, including 12-6 with shots on goal.
- Kalou forced overtime when she poked in the rebound for her ninth goal in the 67th minute after her original shot was saved by Thesing.
- Brown gave the Mariners a 2-1 lead in the 62nd minute taking a flick feed from Hadley Stoddard.
- Stoddard gave MMA a 1-0 advantage in the 31st minute before Weinzimer equalized 6 minutes and 25 seconds later on a pass from Lily Wright.
