ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Maine Maritime Academy's

Ryan Maher, and
Aidan Burke placed in two relays to finish day one of the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships in 14
th place among 15 teams. The three-day meet is being hosted by the United States Naval Academy.
Maine Maritime's foursome finished in 14
th place in the 400-yard medley relay to close out the first day of competition. The Mariners combined for a 3:41.15. Penn's entry won the B Final with a time of 3:21.31. Navy won the event with a time of 3:13.04.
The Mariners placed 15
th in the 200-yard freestyle relay. Maine Maritime qualified for the B Final with a 1:29.89 this morning, then posted a 1:30.99 in the evening race to get on the board. Baruch finished eighth, winning the B Final with a time 1:24.34 to edge Yale's entry. Navy won the event with a 1:19.02, giving the Midshipmen a 1.9-second edge on Rider.
The Mariners return to the deck on Saturday for day two of the championship.
