Box Score FORT KENT, Maine--The Maine Maritime Academy women's soccer team defensive unit stymied host Maine-Fort Kent by limiting the host to just six shots--including one on goal--as the Mariners played to a 0-0 draw at Michael Simon Field on Sunday. Maine Maritime now stands at 1-1-1 on the season heading into its North Atlantic Conference docket, while the Bengals are 3-1-1 overall.

- The Mariners put the offensive pressure on the Bengals all afternoon long, outshooting them 13 to 6 (including 8-1 on goal).
- Senior Kirra Magaña, who is the reigning NAC Player of the Week, led the way with four shots including two on goal.

How it Happened
- UMFK had a chance to take a 1-0 lead in the 40th minute, but Martin's shot hit the post and the MMA defense was able to clear the ball.
- The Bengals didn't get their only shot on frame until the 78th minute off the foot of Petagay Dixon.
- The Mariners pressed with four shots on goal after that chance, including a Magana header in the 89th minute
- The Bengals had the advantage in corner kicks, 7-4.
