WATERVILLE, Maine — The North Atlantic Conference announced its men's cross country all-conference awards on Wednesday and Maine Maritime Academy sophomore
William Spaulding earned runner of the year honors while senior
Cooper Parlee garnered senior scholar athlete.
Spaulding brought home runner of the year honors after winning the NAC championship with a time of 27:42.8. Spaulding finished the year with four top-five finishes, finishing second at the Ron Ouellette Invitational, NAC Preview and Thomas College Invitational and 19th at the Maine State Championship.
Parlee earned NAC all-conference honors finishing ninth at the NAC championship meet. Parlee won the Thomas College Invitational, earning NAC runner of the week honors, finished third at the NAC preview, 43rd at the Maine State Championship and ninth at the Ron Ouellette Invitational.
Off the course, Parlee maintains a 3.96 GPA in marine systems engineering with minors in naval architecture, mathematics and nuclear engineering operations. Parlee has completed his USCG 3rd Assistant Engineer License Program and worked for American Roll-on Roll-off Carriers during the summer of 2025. During 2024, Parlee was a engineering cadet, cadet yeoman for the T/S State of Maine and worked for Spirit Aerosystems as a research and development intern in 2023.
Additionally, Parlee has served as a regimental academic officer and a student tutor for math, physics and engineering.
Freshman
Owen Dawson earned second team all-conference after finishing 15th at the NAC championship.
Additionally, sophomore
James Brubeck was named to the NAC sportsmanship team
