WATERVILLE, Maine — The North Atlantic Conference announced its men's basketball weekly awards on Monday and Maine Maritime Academy junior Jack Banks captured player of the week honors while freshman Drew Hamilton won his second rookie of the week accolade.

Banks dominated on the floor for the Mariners who finished 2-0 in NAC play over the week averaging 29 points per game, 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and recording three steals. Banks finished with a career-high 32 points against SUNY Delhi adding six boards, a career-high six assists and tying a career-high with three steals. Against SUNY Cobleskill, Banks racked up a 26-point, 11-rebound double-double with three assists.

Hamilton finished the week averaging 21.5 points and 3.5 rebounds per game. Hamilton bested his season-high of 24 with a 27-point effort against SUNY Delhi adding four rebounds, three assists and two steals. Against SUNY Cobleskill, Hamilton added 16 points, three rebounds, one assist and one steal.
