Erianna Moore erupted for a season-high 32 points on 13-for-18 field goal shooting to lead three Maine Maritime Academy teammates in double digits, as the Mariners led buzzer-to-buzzer in an 88-59 demolition of local rival Husson University in the North Atlantic Conference Women's Basketball Tournament East Division semifinals at Smith Gymnasium on Saturday afternoon.
Top-seeded Maine Maritime has won seven-straight outings to improve to 23-4 on the season while No. 2 Husson now stands at 15-12 overall.
Maine Maritime, which rolled to a 33-7 first-quarter cushion to set the tone, also saw junior

Hannah Richards led the Eagles with 15 points and Jordyn Lengle added 10. Trinity Montigny (3 points) grabbed a team-best seven rebounds.
Maine Maritime shot 63.2 percent (12-19) from the field, including a 70.0 clip (7-10) from the three-point land, and held to HU to just 18.2 that led to the Mariners' fast start. They ended up shooting 55.7 percent and held the Eagles to 28.3.
Briscoe pulled down a game-best nine rebounds to help MMA have a 43-30 advantage on the glass, too.
Maine Maritime led 50-20 at halftime and was never threatened in the second half.
Maine Maritime heads to Cobleskill, N.Y., next Saturday (1 p.m.) for the NAC championship game against West Division winner SUNY-Cobleskill, which defeated Vermont State University Johnson, 92-30, and Lesley University, 104-41, this weekend. This will be a rematch of the 2024 title game as the Mariners--who defeated the Tigers, 61-57, at home on Jan. 19--are seeking their third NAC crown in a row.
