- Husson led 36-19 at halftime while shooting 42.4 percent (14-33) from the field and holding MMA to a 30.8 clip (8-26).
- The teams traded points for the first five minutes before Moronta broke a 6-6 tie with a trey to put the Eagles ahead for good with 13 minutes and 10 seconds remaining in the opening half. That started an 11-2 run as the visitors quickly had a 17-8 advantage.

- Maine Maritime stayed within striking distance by outscoring Husson in bench points (21-10) and second-chance points (16-10).
- The Eagles, however, outscored the Mariners 18-10 on points off turnovers and they had a free throw advantage (15-for-19 to 6-for-10).
