CASTINE, Maine — Maine Maritime Academy announced its 2025 football schedule on Friday, featuring 10 games — four of which will be played at home on Richie Field.
"We couldn't be more excited to take the field for our first complete season since 2019," said head football coach Nick Sheehan. "This is a major milestone for our program, and it's even more special with so many student-athletes representing their communities nationwide. We're focused on the process every single day — stacking good days, building the right habits, and putting Mariner football back where it belongs."
The Mariners open the 2025 season with back-to-back road games, beginning at Hartwick College on Sept. 6, followed by a matchup at Norwich University on Sept. 20.
MMA welcomes Keystone College to Richie Field on Sept. 27 for its 2025 home opener — the first-ever meeting between the two programs. The Mariners then host Nichols College on Oct. 4 for Homecoming and the start of Conference of New England play.
Following the Homecoming game, MMA travels to Curry College on Oct. 11 before returning home for a Friday night showdown against the University of New England on Oct. 17 at 6 p.m.
The Mariners close out October with an away game at New England College on Oct. 25, then head to reigning CNE champion Endicott College on Nov. 1.
Western New England University visits Castine on Nov. 8 for the final home game of the season. MMA concludes its regular season on the road against Husson University — marking the first-ever matchup between the two in-state programs.
