CASTINE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy men's soccer team battled the University of Southern Maine to a 1-1 tie at home Tuesday evening in non-conference action.
Maine Maritime (1-1-4) struck for the opening goal in the 16th minute when senior

James Baur for a 1-0 lead.
The Mariners closed the opening half with a 6-4 edge in shots and the only shot on goal.
Southern Maine (0-2-5) came out strong in the second half, applying pressure before tying the match in the 60th minute.

Reagan Moynihan made a diving save to keep the game even at 1-1.
USM finished the second half with an 8-3 advantage in shots and a 2-1 edge in shots on goal.
