CASTINE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy women's cross-country team hosted the Mariner Invite on Wednesday, placing third overall as junior Sophia Sabet earned a runner-up finish.
Sabet clocked a time of 13:26.1, the top mark for the Mariners.

Kylie Cantlon finished eighth with a 16:46.8, while junior McKenzie Murray posted a 17:37.0 and sophomore Caitlyn Lamb added an 18:29.6.

Kylie Coxon matched that time to close out the Mariners' scoring.
Thomas College won the team title, while the University of Maine at Presque Isle placed second.
Maine Maritime returns to action at the North Atlantic Conference Preview Meet hosted by Husson University at Saxl Park.
