MIDDLEBURY, Vt. — Maine Maritime Academy men's soccer team faced a tough test against the nations No. 3 team on Sunday afternoon, falling to Middlebury College, 8-0, in non-conference action at South Street Field.
Senior goalkeeper
Reagan Moynihan led the defensive effort for Maine Maritime, making four saves while facing a relentless Middlebury attack that produced 36 shots and 12 shots on goal.
The Mariners generated their first scoring opportunity in the fifth minute when freshman
Garrett Loyd fired a shot that sailed high. Maine Maritime also received attempts from sophomore

Hunter Crea, and sophomore
Piercen Fisher, accounting for the team's four shots on the day.
Despite the final score, the Mariners continued to compete throughout the match against a Middlebury squad that improved to 7-0-2 on the season.
