WELLESLEY, Mass. — Maine Maritime Academy closed out the 2026 Little East Conference Championships on Sunday with several scoring performances in the finals session.
Senior
Rayelle Brewer highlighted the day for the Mariners in the 100-yard freestyle, placing seventh in the championship final with a time of 57.45 seconds.
In the mile, freshman
Marin Griffin finished 13th in the 1,650-yard freestyle, touching in 21 minutes, 3.03 seconds.
Sophomore
Kate Griffin contributed in the 200 breaststroke, taking 16th in 2:56.13.
Maine Maritime placed two swimmers in the finals of the 200 butterfly. Junior
Claire MacDonald finished eighth in the championship final in 2:34.57, while senior
Kylie Cantlon was 13th overall after clocking 2:46.43 in the consolation final.
In the 100 individual medley, freshman
Emily Metzker led a trio of Mariners with a 10th-place finish in 1:09.35. Sophomore
Natalie Cady was 11th in 1:10.33 and
Jane Marvin took 14th in 1:14.88.
The Mariners capped the meet in the 400 freestyle relay, finishing ninth in 4:02.44.
Maine Maritime returns to the pool on Saturday hosting the MMA Last Chase beginning at 1 p.m. at Bok Pool.
