Playoff Preview: Women's basketball hosts No. 3 University of Maine at Farmington for NAC championship

The Series: The Mariners host UMF 33-13 all-time against the Beavers dating back to the first meeting between the programs in 2004. Both teams split on the season with Farmington beating MMA at home in January, while the Mariners upset UMF on the road in the regular-season finale to secure the top spot in the North Atlantic Conference standings. 
Maine Maritime at a Glance: Last time out the Mariners held on for a 60-44 victory over No. 5 seed SUNY Cobleskill at home in the NAC semifinal to advance to the championship. Sophomore Addison Forry paced MMA with a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double coming up clutch in the fourth quarter to run the deficit to double digits. Junior Hailey Blanchard added 13 points and nine boards, while junior Laney Lyle added a key seven points down the stretch. 
University of Maine at Farmington at a Glance: The Beavers carry a two-game winning streak into Saturday's showdown beating Vermont State University Lyndon in the NAC quarterfinal 80-44 and upsetting No. 2 Husson University 64-40 on the road in the NAC semifinal to setup a winner takes all championship. UMF is led by Jaydn Pingree who enters play averaging 14.9 points per game and Jessica Dow who averages 12.4 points.
