DANBURY, Conn. — The Eastern College Athletic Conference announced its end of the year men's lacrosse awards on Thursday and Maine Maritime Academy freshman
Ryan Parent took home rookie of the year honors.
Parent claimed North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Year and first team attack honors after finishing the season with a team-high 48 goals finishing second in the league and third with a 3.43 goals per game average. Parent posted 25 assists and finished second on the team with 73 points, adding 45 ground balls and six caused turnovers. Parent finished sixth in the league with 1.79 assists per game and third with 5.21 points per game earning NAC rookie of the week five times and being named to the NEILA team of the week three times. In league games, Parent was at his best, leading the conference with 5.20 goals per game and finishing second with 8.40 points per game and third with 3.20 assists.
