CASTINE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy men's golf team hosted the University of Maine at Augusta on Tuesday at Castine Golf Club, posting a season-low 308 finishing second as sophomore Nathan Baker took home medalist honors.

UMaine Augusta captured the head-to-head with a 303, while the Mariners B Team posted a 326.

Baker paced Maine Maritime with a five-over par 73 on the afternoon tying for the event lead and sharing medalist honors.

Freshman Patrick Marino who competed on the B Team tied with senior Mac McCarthy with a nine-over par 77, while sophomore Xavier Bellerose and freshman Andrew Sawyer each finished with round of 79.

Freshman Josh Fitzgerald carded an 80, followed by junior Anthony Picano (82), senior Brady Bumford (83), freshman Andrew Duhon (86) and junior Evan Duprey (93) all competed for the Mariners.

Maine Maritime returns to the course on Saturday for the University of Maine at Farmington Invitational at Waterville Country Club followed by the Colby Sid Farr Invitational on Sunday also at Waterville Country Club.
