CASTINE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy women's cross-country team returned to action on Wednesday hosting Thomas College and the University of Maine at Presque Isle for a midweek meet, dropping a close 27-29 decision to Thomas, while beating UMPI 27-29.

Sophie Sabet led the Mariners on the day posting a time of 13:03.7, while junior
Cecilia Edwards clocked a 16:46.4.
Senior
Kylie Cantlon added a 17:47.3, followed by junior
Abigail Cormier (18:25.0) and junior
Grace Campbell (18:36.5).
Additionally, sophomore
Emily Metzker posted a 19:03.0 to conclude the Mariners showing.
Maine Maritime returns to action on Oct. 3 when it travels to Thomas College for the Thomas Terrier Invite.
