PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — The Maine Maritime Academy men's golf team opened its 2026 season at the University of Maine at Presque Isle Invitational on Friday.
The Mariners finished tied for fourth with a 321 (+33) trailing the University of Maine at Augusta who won the event with a 309, followed by UMPI (313) and Husson University who tallied a 314.
Maine Maritime was led by freshman
Patrick Marino who shot a four-over par 76 to finish tied for second.
Sophomore
Nathan Baker posted a six-over par 78 to finish seventh and senior
Mac McCarthy added an eight-over par score of 80.
Additionally,
Brady Bumford and
Xavier Bellerose concluded the Mariners showing with rounds of 87 and 93, respectively.
Maine Maritime returns to the course on Wednesday when it competes at the John Queenan Memorial Inviational.
