Maine Maritime Academy

Coach Whitaker joined the Maine Maritime staff having served as a running back and special teams coach at St. Benedict High School in Memphis, Tenn. since May, 2022.
At St. Benedict, Whitaker gained experience breaking down opponent's video, developing weekly game plans (special teams scheme), mentoring student athletes, scouting and recruiting talent and organizing special teams. He also worked with the strength and conditioning coach to coordinate workouts. 
  
Whitaker is a coach with outstanding communication and motivational skills both on and off the field. A perceptive leader, he is skilled in building cooperative working relationships, driving collaboration in a manner that delivers quality results and superior team performance. 

Whitaker is a 2022 graduate from Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee. A four-year member of the Dragons football team, Whitaker earned a bachelor's science degree in Physical Education.
