Maine Maritime Academy

David Sloan enters his third season as an assistant coach for the Maine Maritime Academy Men's Basketball program. He comes to Castine from Reading, Pennsylvania where he was most recently an assistant coach at Boyertown Area High School in Boyertown, Pennsylvania. In addition, Sloan has coached at numerous camps, including the Tom Izzo Basketball Camp at Michigan State University, the Mark Gottfried Basketball Camp at North Carolina State University and the Maryland Basketball Camp at the University of Maryland.

Sloan attended Alvernia University where from 2010-2014, he was a member of the men's basketball team. In 2014, he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training, graduating Magna Cum Laude, and received his Master's in Business Adminstration from Alvernia in May of 2016. Sloan is a certified Athletic Trainer and has served as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer at Alvernia University.
