Maine Maritime Academy

Christopher “Kit” Santiago Lowe joined the Maine Maritime Academy men’s lacrosse coaching staff in September of 2021. Kit serves as the defensive coordinator for the Mariners and works with the faceoff men.

Kit joined the Mariners staff after three seasons at the helm of Georgia Southern University where he was the Georgia Southern University Coach of the Year in 2020.

Kit founded the US Army’s Wheelchair lacrosse program in late 2009 at Walter Reed AMC and in the Summer of 2011 played on the USA travel team in the Australia Men’s National Championship series in Adelaide.

Prior to his coaching career, Kit enlisted in the Georgia Army National Guard in 2004 and deployed to Afghanistan in April 2009. He was later wounded in action in August 2009 and Honorably Discharged in April 2012.

Kit earned his Bachelors from Kennesaw State University in 2016, where he was a member of the club lacrosse team.
