Maine Maritime Academy

James Dillon enters his third season as Head Coach for the Mariners and fourth season overall. In 2019, Dillon led the Mariners to a 3-7 record overall in a new era of North Atlantic Conference (NAC) play. The Mariners landed five players on the NAC All-Conference team, and produced the Mariners Male Leader of the Year, Nathan Granholm.

Dillon was appointed Interim Head Coach for the 2018 season and led the Mariners to a 4-8 record, including a 4-3 record in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) and the team's first home playoff game since 2015. Dillon served as Assistant Coach for the Mariners during the 2017 season. 

A 2013 Graduate of Salve Regina University, Dillon earned a Bachelor of Science in Financial Management with minors in Accounting and Business Administration. 

At Salve Regina, Dillon was a four-year member of the men's lacrosse team where he was named to the Commonwealth Coast Conference All-Academic Team. He also helped coach at various Aquidneck Island Youth Clinics as part of the Seahawks Lacrosse Team. Before coming to Maine Maritime Academy, Dillon served as an Assistant Coach for the varsity lacrosse and basketball teams at The Pine School in Hobe Sound, Florida.
