Maine Maritime Academy

Philip "P.R." Simshauser joined the Maine Maritime Academy men's lacrosse program in the fall of 2019 as an assistant coach. P.R. serves as the defensive coordinator for the Mariners and works with goalies and faceoff men.

He comes to Castine after previous high school coaching stints in Connecticut, Arizona, and New York as well as a career in politics and government while based in Washington D.C.

A product of Yorktown High School (N.Y.), P.R. played at both Syracuse University and the University of Arizona during his collegiate career, earning his Political Science degree from the University of Arizona in 2007.
