  • Last season, MMA posted a 22-5 mark and swept through the NAC schedule with a perfect 13-0 conference ledger to repeat as back-to-back conference champions and NCAA tournament participants
  • In 2022-23, the Mariners had a 22-7 overall record and a 13-1 in conference worksheet
  • The Mariners have been ranked as high as 15th in the nation, which came during the 2006-07 campaign
  • The 2006 squad posted 25 victories, including a victory at top-ranked Bowdoin to snap the Polar Bears' home-winning streak at 76 games
  • In the previous year, MMA earned a 24-5 overall record, 18-2 conference mark and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the first time under Dagan, who was named NAC Coach of the Year
  • The Mariners have finished in the top 10 nationally in field goal percentage defense (led NCAA Division III in 2002 and 2019) and scoring defense six times
  • MMA has also been ranked No. 1 nationally in rebound margin in 2002, 2004 and 2006 seasons

The Craig Dagan File

  • A native of South Berwick, Maine.
  • Received an associate's degree from Southern Maine Technical College in 1991, where he played basketball, volleyball and baseball.
  • Earned his bachelor's degree in business in 1997 from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, where he played basketball and golf.
  • In 2001, he received a master's degree in athletic administration from Springfield College.

Additional Coaching Experience

  • Served as the head coach for the MMA women's soccer program from 2001 to 2006, compiling a 45-45-8 record in six seasons.
  • Named the NAC Women's Soccer Coach of the Year in 2003..
  • The team had five-straight NAC playoff appearances and went 43-32-8 (.566) over his last five years.
  • First women's soccer coach in MMA history to post three consecutive double-digit win seasons (10-7-1 in both 2004-05 and 10-6-2 in 2006).
  • Also led the Mariners golf squad in 2012 and 2013, as MMA recorded its highest finish (3rd place) in the NAC Championships in his final season. 
  • On the basketball women's coaching staffs as an assistant at Springfield (Mass.) College for two years and then at UMass for five.
  • Helped the Pride and Minutewomen to three NCAA tournaments and more than 130 wins combined.
