Craig Dagan has served as the head coach of the Maine Maritime women's basketball program since 2001-02 season and has led the Mariners to six conference championships and five NCAA Tournament appearances. Dagan has been named conference coach of the year five times and Maine State coach of the year twice.

The winningest coach in program history and the longest tenured head coach for a single sport in Maine Maritime Academy Athetic history and is one of only four women's basketball coaches in state history to eclipse 400 career wins. 

Dagan has spent over 25 years on the bench of Maine Maritime coaching women's basketball, women's soccer 2001-06, earning North Atlantic Conference Coach of the Year in 2003 along with coaching men's golf from 2012-13 and again in 2024-25. 

Prior to being named as the head coach of the women's basketball program, Dagan served as an assistant coach at Springfield College for two seasons and was an assistant coach of UMass for five season.

A 1991 graduate of Southern Maine Technical College, Dagan earned an associate's degree before earning his bachelor's degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1997 and his master's degree from Springfield College in 2001. 

A native of South Berwick, Maine, Dagan played basketball, volleyball and baseball at Southern Maine Technical College and basketball and golf at UMass Amherst. He currently resides in Castine with his daughter Evelyn and son Patrick.
