Maine Maritime Academy

Pease joined the women's lacrosse staff in the fall of 2021 overseeing the attack and transition game. The Mariners established new highwater marks in every offensive category including tallying 189 goals, 66 more than in any season prior in his first year with the program. First-year middie, Hazel Stoddard, finished the campaign sixth in NCAA Division III in goals per game (5.44) and tied for seventh in overall scoring with 87 goals. The 2022 Mariners were picked to finish sixth in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) but managed to find itself playing on the final Saturday of the playoffs after picking up the program’s first playoff win. Pease served as the Head Coach for the 2023 campaign, leading Maine Maritime to a 9-5 record, then the most wins in the program's brief history.

Pease brings the unique perspective of being an alumnus of the Academy. He returned to Castine with a wealth of coaching and administrative experience at the high school level. A native of Bucksport, he graduated from the Academy in 2000 with a degree in Marine Engineering and shipped with Marine Engineers (MEBA) until 2005 as a third assistant engineer. Pease came ashore and began a career in teaching and coaching with a focus on mathematics in the classroom. He had served as an assistant coach in boy’s and girl’s lacrosse, basketball and football. He served as Matanzas High School’s Head Varsity Tennis Coach from 2008 to 2021 and Head Boy’s Golf Coach from 2009 to 2018. He has also served as the Assistant Athletic Director, heavily engaged in external relations.

Pease returned to the Assistant Coach role in the Fall of 2023, coinciding with his appointment as the Academy's new Health & Wellness program coordinator.
