Sierra James

James returns to the Mariners staff for her third season following a one-year hiatus to work with the program’s keepers, while providing quality control support for the program.

The first recruited player in the program's history, James split her duties between the goal circle and the midfield in Castine. James logged 266 saves, 20 goals and six assists to go with 111 ground balls and 31 caused turnovers in her career. As the daughter of a collegiate goalkeeper and highly successful girl’s lacrosse coach on the prep level, James has spent a lifetime in the game. As the quality control coach, James’ provides video analysis and feedback for the team, prepares scouting reports and assists in the development of the gameplan.
She graduated in 2019 with a B.S. in Marine Biology.
