Tony DeMuro has served as the head coach of the Maine Maritime men's swimming & diving program since the 2019-20 season and has guided the Mariners to three North Atlantic Conference Championships and Metropolitan Conference Championship in 2024.

In addition to his men’s swimming & diving duties, DeMuro also serves as the head women’s swimming & diving coach and aquatics director.

Prior to Maine Maritime, DeMuro was the head swim coach at Mount Desert Island High School from 2000-19 winning 11 state championships (eight boys and three girls), won five sportsmanship awards and was named Class B Coach of the Year six times.

Additionally, DeMuro was an assistant YMCA swim coach from 2000-19 working with kids from ages 5-18 and taught physical education at Cranberry Island School from 2017-19.

A native of Bar Harbor, Maine, DeMuro earned his Bachelor of Science in 1999 from the University of Maine at Orono. He currently resides in Bar Harbor with his wife Milja.
