Hometown: Palmyra, Maine
Major: International Business and Logistics
Anticipated Graduation Year: December 2022

Why did you choose to attend Maine Maritime? I chose MMA because of the well-known and respected reputation the Academy has. It offered an opportunity that most places are unable to, all while continuing my athletic career.
Why did you choose International Business and Logistics for a major? I chose the IBL program because it is a great blend of a “standard” business degree, with the addition of logistics. It helps build a unique wealth of knowledge that most other schools can’t offer.
What first got you interested in golf? Golf started as a leisure activity. Enjoying a summer Saturday morning on the golf course quickly developed into a passion for the game.
Tell us about something that people would be surprised to learn about you? I really enjoy history and enjoy reading and learning about it.
Who on campus has made the biggest impact on you? The campus is filled with positive influencers, I can’t just choose one.
Tell us about a summer experience related to Maine Maritime. Last summer I was able to be an Intern for an international company and worked hand-and-hand with government auditors and agencies because of the opportunities MMA presents.
What’s your favorite part about being on the Men’s Golf team? My favorite part of being on the golf team is spending time with the team while all working towards the same goal of competing at tournaments.
What are your hopes for the future? I hope to graduate with a good job and give back to my community in any form possible.
What motivates you to succeed? I feel I am self-motivated simply by the want to succeed, and an unwillingness to fail.
What is your favorite book? My favorite book is American Sniper.
Tell us about something outside of Mariners Athletics that you are really interested in. In my free time I enjoy spending my time at camp in the summer and snowboarding in the winter.
What advice would you give incoming freshmen? Just stay, it isn’t your traditional college life, but in the end it all pays off and works out.
What is your favorite way to relieve stress? The gym is the best stress relief for me.
How did you balance academics and athletics? I was able to balance the academic and athletic work load because of teammates and other resources provided by the school. The Buoy House on campus provides free tutoring which is a great resource.
What cause is important to you? One of the most important things to me is youth sports programs. I truly believe that sports offer some of the best life-lessons. The development of the next generation is important – and the tool of athletics is arguably the best aid in doing so in a positive way
