What made you come to Maine Maritime Academy?: The variety of majors, lacrosse, and the NROTC unit.
What first got you interested in your sport?: I used to watch women's lacrosse when my dad was the athletic trainer for our school.
What has been your favorite class at MMA?: Biology.
What is the best advice your coach has given you?: Don't worry about things you can't control. Change what you can and let the rest play out.
What motivates you to succeed?: My grandfather who unfortunately passed but was a Marine. I strive to follow in his footsteps.
What is your prized possession?: My yetis.
What is your favorite book? (Non-academic): The Last Stand at Fox Company.
What is something that people would be surprised to learn about you?: I started boxing when I was 13 and still continue.
What are your hopes for the future?: I graduate with my desired degrees and work surface warfare in the US Navy.
What is your favorite spot in Castine/on Campus? Why?: The town dock. The boats on the water are beautiful in the sunset and at dawn.
Tell us about something you are involved with here at MMA?: I'm in the NROTC unit and as challenging as it can be, it has moments where you know you made the right choice. The challenges are difficult, but what you accomplish is far better.
What are three things you have with you at all times?: A pocket knife, my favorite yeti (salmon colored), and a pack of Oreos.
