Hometown: Saco, Maine

Major: International Business and Logistics

Anticipated Graduation Year: 2021

What made you come to Maine Maritime Academy?: The focused programs that are offered here, and the job placement after graduation.

What first got you interested in your sport?: I was lucky enough to have a pool in my backyard, so I learned how to swim and develop a love for it at a young age. I joined a team at 9 years old and never looked back.

What has been your favorite class at MMA?: The introduction to supply chain management course was a fun start to my major, with good lectures and projects that I can already apply to the business world.

What is the best advice your coach has given you?: Essentially keeping my attitude high so that every workout I do has purpose.

What motivates you to succeed?: Personal development and growth.

What is your prized possession?: I have some pretty sick lightsabers.

What is your favorite book? (Non-academic): The Art of Racing in the Rain.

What is something that people would be surprised to learn about you?: I'm part Chinese.

What are your hopes for the future?: Buy a mustang, and ensure that whatever job I do will have an impact on the market.

Which teammate has had the biggest impact on you? Why?: Pat Mac and Brad both motivated me and pushed me to be my best, especially on days where I didn't think I was capable. The three of us always have a blast going hard in practice.

Tell us about something outside of MMA and athletics that you are really interested in: I absolutely love fishing, it's been a big part of my life since I wasn't even able to walk. I'm glad there are so many people here with the same interests.

Who is your favorite professional athlete? Why?: Nathan Adrian, he's a successful swimmer that has faced numerous obstacles in his career but continues to be a role model for swimmers across the country.
