What made you come to Maine Maritime Academy?: The unique opportunity to work in small classes with specialized professors.
What first got you interested in your sport?: The idea of being on a team again.
What has been your favorite class at MMA?: Business Calculus.
What is the best advice your coach has given you?: Get uncomfortable. You won't succeed if you always stay within your comfort zone.
What motivates you to succeed?: My team.
What is your prized possession?: My car, her name is Rhonda.
What is your favorite book? (Non-academic): Great Gatsby.
What is something that people would be surprised to learn about you?: I haven't swam in 10 years! I played basketball all through high school and just wanted to try something new.
What are your hopes for the future?: I'd love to own a farm someday.
What is your favorite spot in Castine/on Campus? Why?: I love watching sunsets at Dyce's Head, its beautiful and relaxing.
What advice do you have for incoming freshman?: Try new things, put yourself out there, and leave your comfort zone. I promise good things will come.
Who is your favorite professional athlete? Why?: Dustin Pedroia; I grew up watching the Sox when I was young with my Dad and it always inspired me how hard he worked, and how good his attitude was.
