MMA defeats badgers 19-7

CASTINE, Maine - Johnson State College dropped a 19-7 North Atlantic Conference men's lacrosse decision on Sunday to fall to 1-4 overall and 1-3 in the NAC. MMA's win lifts them to 5-3 overall and 5-1 in the NAC.

Maine Maritime received four goals each from Chris Keiley (Holliston, MA) and Andrew DiSalvo (Glastonbury, CT). Tom Houle (Manchester, NH) scored three time while Wade Mondoux (No. Berwick, ME), Richard McKee (Plymouth, MA), and Nick Lund (Alfred, ME) each tallied two goals. 

Johnson received two goals apiece from seniors Billy Noyes (Boston, Mass./Northeast Regional) and Steve Noyes (Barre, Vt./Spaulding) as well as from sophomore Alex Petti (East Greenwich, R.I./East Greenwich). Sophomore Justin Connolly (Jeffersonville, Vt./Lamoille) also scored a goal for Johnson who fell behind 9-2 at the half. Both Steve Noyes and Petti assisted on scores in the game.

MMA keeper Kevin Boucher (Gorham, ME) picked up his 5th win of the year, making 19 saves on 51 shots.

Goalkeeper Branden Sawyer (East Greenwich, R.I./East Greenwich) was busy throughout the contest making 22 saves in the loss for Johnson.

Freshman Maxxwell Connolly (Rollinsford, N.H./St. Thomas Aquinas) picked up a team-high seven ground balls for JSC.
