Box Score CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy posted a 2-0 win over Colby-Sawyer College in North Atlantic Conference men's soccer on Saturday. The Mariners (6-3-1, 3-2 NAC) posted their second-straight shutout and sixth of the season.
The Chargers (3-8-1, 1-2-1 NAC) provided an early favor for their hosts. Gabriel Warren (Edgecomb, Maine) served up a free kick that went into the Colby-Sawyer goal off of a Charger defender late in the 22nd minute.
Abdullah Alkhayyat (Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) provided the insurance marker in the 79th minute, collecting a long pass from Romayn Richards (Machias, Maine) from the right flank. Alkhayyat got beyond the defense leaving him one-on-one with Colby-Saywer keeper, Will Berry (Berlin, Vt.).
