Box Score BANGOR, Maine – Gordon College netted a pair of second half goals to knock off Maine Maritime's men 2-0 in in the championship contest of the New Balance Challenge hosted by Husson University Saturday. Gordon remained perfect at 3-0 while the Mariners fell to 1-2-1.
After a scoreless first half, Andy Guthrie scored in the 59th minute to put Gordon ahead 1-0. Kellen Kasiuran added an insurance goal in the 81st minute.
Both teams fired10 shots with Tim Hardy stopping six shots for Gordon and
Jesse Perkins recording four save for the Mariners.
Maine Maritime returns to action Saturday traveling to Maine-Presque Isle at 2 p.m.
