Nerissa Larrabee Leads Mariners to 8th Place Finish at State of Maine Championship

Maine Maritime women's cross country finished eighth out of 11 teams, at the Maine State Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Bowdoin College on Saturday afternoon.

Nerissa Larrabee (Caribou, Maine) led the Mariners with a 79th place finish on the 5K course, with a time of 21:35.4. Jessica Faltings (Northport, N.Y.) finished 92nd, followed closely by Julia Dillon (Norway, Maine) in 100th, Sierra James (Campton, N.H.) in 113th and Robyn Larrabee (Caribou, Maine) in 114th.

Colby College claimed the team victory, placing three runners in the top five, including the top finisher Alanna McDononough, who finished the course in 18:17.3.

The Mariners return to action in two weeks at the North Atlantic Conference Championship hosted by Husson University at Saxl Park in Bangor, Maine.
