Box Score 2 JOHNSON, Vt. – Maine Maritime Academy cruised to a pair of 3-0 victories over Lyndon State and Johnson State on Saturday in North Atlantic Conference action.
With the victories, the Mariners claim the #2 seed in the upcoming NAC Championship hosted by #1 Colby-Sawyer College on November 6 and 7.
The Mariners will face Castleton on Friday, November 6 in their 11th-straight NAC Semifinal appearance.
Before competing at the NAC Championship the Mariners will host Colby College this Tuesday for a match and travel to Saint Joseph's College of Maine next weekend to take on the Monks and Simmons College, to wrap up the 2015 Regular Season.

Game One: Maine Maritime Academy 3 – Lyndon State 0 (25-15, 25-21, 25-12)
Maine Maritime picked up the 3-0 sweep over Lyndon State in dominate fashion. The Mariners won the first set by a 25-15 margin and took the second 25-20. In the third set, Maine Maritime didn't let the Hornets find momentum and earned the 25-12 victory.
Gillian O'Neal (Burbank, Calif.) led the Mariners with 11 kills, nine digs, eight assists and one ace while Tess Clark (Spring, Texas) posted eight kills and four services aces. Melissa Spaulding (Fairbanks, Alaska) paired 14 assists with eight digs and a game-best three aces.
Lyndon had just 12 kills in the match but recorded at match high 32 digs. Kelleigh Murtaugh contributed six kills, and eight digs to lead the Hornets.
Game Two: Maine Maritime Academy 3 – Johnson State 0 (25-9, 25-8, 25-14)
The Mariners sailed to 25-9 and 25-8 wins in set one and two, and picked up the 3-0 sweep with a 25-14 win in the third set.
Reigning NAC Rookie of the Week, Spaulding grabbed a double-double to lead the Mariners, with 22 assists and 11 digs. The freshman setter also grabbed a team-high four aces and a block. Clark led all players with 15 kills, to hit .882% and nine digs, while O'Neal added 12 kills on a .625 hitting percentage, and a pair of digs.
Andrea Williams led the Badgers with four kills, while Anna Bingham recorded six assists.
