Nerissa Larrabee Leads Mariners to Fourth at NAC Championship

BANGOR, Maine – Freshman Nerissa Larrabee (Caribou, Maine) led Maine Maritime Academy to a fourth place finish among 10 teams at the North Atlantic Conference Championship hosted by Husson University at Saxl Park.

Larrabee placed a team-best 18th with a time of 23:00 on the 5K course. Jessica Faltings (Northport, N.Y.) finished 19th among the 106 runners with a time of 23:04, followed by Robyn Larrabee (Caribou, Maine) in 20th with a time of 23:11. Julia Dillon (Norway, Maine) placed 28th overall with a time of 23:38, and Mary Shea (Brownfield, Maine) finished 47th overall with a time of 24:40 to round out the top five finishers for the Mariners.

For the second-consecutive season, Colby-Sawyer grabbed the North Atlantic Conference Championship, with three top-five finishers, while New England College's Abby Shafer was the individual champion with a time of 20:07.

The Mariners return to action next weekend at the ECAC Championships in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
