BANGOR, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy women's cross country finished second at the Husson Harrier Invitational on Saturday afternoon at Saxl Park. Freshman Nerissa Larrabee (Caribou, Maine) finished 8^th overall, out of 83 runners, to pace the Mariners with a time of 22:47.7 on the 5k course. 

Freshman Robyn Larrabee (Caribou, Maine) finished in 12^th place (23:39.9), followed by Julia Dillon (South Paris, Maine) in 13^th, and Jessica Faltings (Northport, N.Y.) in 14^th (23:42.5). Sierra James (Campton, N.H.) placed 22^nd (24.21.4) to round out the top five runners for the Mariners.

New England College's Abby Shaffer finished 1^st overall, followed by teammate Allison Granata, and Maine-Farmington claimed the team victory with three runners in the top 10.

Maine Maritime returns to action next Saturday, September 12^th when they compete at the University of New England Invitational in Biddeford, Maine. The Mariners will return to Saxl Park later this season, on October 31^st for the North Atlantic Conference Championship.
