Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine – Maine Maritime Academy men's soccer fell to Thomas College 7-1, on Tuesday night in their North Atlantic Conference opener.
The Terriers scored six goals in the first half, outshooting the Mariners 14-2 in the first 45 minutes of play.
Dalton Moore (Hollis Center, Maine) put the Mariners on the board in the 75th minute to cut the deficit to five, on an assist from Erik Andreasen (Gorham, Maine), but the Terriers added another goal late in the game to claim the 7-1 win.
Josh Emard led Thomas with a hat trick, while teammate London Steede-Jackson added a pair of goals.
Maine Maritime's Joshua Reeks (Bedford, N.H.) tallied nine saves in the setback and Thomas College's Drew Martin grabbed the victory in net, collecting five saves.
The Mariners fall to 1-4-1 overall and 0-1 in NAC play, while the Terriers improve to 2-2-1 on the season and 2-0 in conference play. Maine Maritime returns to action on Saturday when they host New England College at 4:00 p.m., as part of Homecoming.
