Rachel Melampy (Duxbury, Mass.) tallied 16 kills, on .667 hitting to lead Mariners volleyball to a 3-0 victory over Husson University, in a conference matchup on Wednesday evening.

How it Happened: The Mariners set the tone for the match with a six-point run to start the first set and never looked back. Similar action happened in the second set, with Maine Maritime going on a five-point run then an eight-point run to put the set away earlier. The Mariners ended the match the way they started, with another six-point run to jump to a quick led that eventually win the match, 3-0.

Inside the Numbers:
- Melampy hit 16 kills, on .667 hitting, along with six digs, three aces, and one block assist.
- Ila Smith (Lexington, Ky.) recorded seven kills, hitting .500, in addition to three block assists, one solo block, and one dig.
- Katie Albritton (Hutto, Texas) dished out 24 assists, six digs, four aces, two block assists, and two kills.
- Julia Ellis tallied eight kills, while Alyvia McIntyre recorded 15 assists for the Eagles.
