Mariners Drop Last Regular Season Game

BANGOR, Maine – Maine Maritime fell to Husson University, 2-0 in the final conference matchup of the regular season. The Mariners finished fourth in the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) East Division and will take on #1 Husson University once again next Friday, October 28 in the quarterfinals. The time is to be determined.
 
How it Happened: The Eagles struck early when Carlos Etchevers scored a goal in the sixth minute of the game against the Mariners to lead 1-0. This score held through halftime. Husson University scored an insurance goal in the beginning of the second half to secure the 2-0 win over Maine Maritime.

  • Husson University held a 29-3 advantage in shots and a 13-4 edge in corner kicks over the Mariners.
  • Trevor Gray (Gorham, Maine) spent all 90 minutes in net for the Mariners, tallying two saves.
