CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime men's basketball beat Lesley University in a non-conference matchup, 84-79 on Tuesday evening.

How it Happened: The Mariners jumped off to a quick start against the Lynx, taking a 15 point lead after the first 10 minutes play. The Lynx slowly started chipping away at the Mariners lead, getting within eight points going into the half.

Lesley University continued putting pressure on the Mariners, getting down by one point with a made three pointer. Maine Maritime responded with a 20 to 1 run started off by a three from
Carter Rubin (Littleton, Colo.) to put the Mariners up 18 with 10 minutes left in the game. The Lynx cut the score to single digits, but was never close enough to take the lead. Maine Maritime ended with a 84-79 victory.

- Connor Tuerff (Hendersonville, Tenn.) tallied a career – and game-high 24 points, hitting six threes, along with two rebounds and on assist.
- Malachi Reincke (Houston, Texas) added 14 points to the mix, along with nine rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
- Josiah Dancy (Orlando, Fla.) came off the bench with 13 points, seven assists, and one rebound.
- Scott Barlow recorded 17 points, while Christian Castro and Eli Johnson both added 16 points for the Lynx.
- Maine Maritime shot 50% from the floor and 35.5% from beyond the arc, while Lesley University shot 37.5% from the floor and 29.4% from three point land.
