CASTINE, Maine – Maine Maritime men's basketball fell to conference opponent Husson University 69-60 on Tuesday evening.

How it Happened: It was a slow moving game to start, with the score being 14-7 in favor of the Eagles in the first ten minutes of the half. The Mariners started getting into a groove, cutting the eagles lead down to four, just before an Eagle hit a three to still make it a seven point game going into the half.

The Eagles came out strong in the second half, building to a double-digit lead in the first three minutes of action. They held their lead throughout the half, taking a 69-60 win.

Inside the Numbers:
- Curt Heinz (Stuttgart, Germany) tallied a double-double with 17 points and 17 rebounds, in addition to two steals and a block.
- Malachi Reincke (Houston, Texas) added 13 points off the bench for the Mariners.
- Jeremy Moronta recorded 18 points, while Scott Lewis tallied 13 for the Eagles.
- Maine Maritime shot 33.3% from the floor and 27.3% from the three point line, while Husson University shot 42.4% from the hardwood and 31% from beyond the arc.
