CASTINE, Maine – The Maine Maritime Academy men's soccer team has earned the third seed and will face second-seeded Maine-Farmington in the North Atlantic Conference Quarterfinals at top-seeded Husson Saturday afternoon. Husson will host Thomas College in the other East Quarterfinal.

Farmington upended Maine Maritime 1-0 during the regular season meeting in Castine on October 14. Coleman Watson netted the game's only tally, despite his team being out shot 11-4. The Mariners and the Beavers have met in postseason play on four previous occasions, twice in the NAC. Farmington holds a 2-1-1 edge overall while the Mariners are 1-0-1 in NAC postseason play. The teams played to a -1 draw on October 28, 2009, but MMA advanced on penalty kicks, winning the shootout 4-0. The Mariners won the most recent postseason meeting 4-0 during the 2013 NAC Quarterfinals.

The top four teams in each eight-team division qualified for the tournament. Quarterfinals and Semifinals will occur divisionally, at the site of each division's #1 seed. Pairings for the quarterfinal round are #1 v #4 and #2 v #3 in each division.

Husson went undefeated in the East and SUNY Poly went 5-0-1 in the West to earn the top seeds in their divisions. SUNY Poly will host #2 SUNY Delhi, #3 Eastern Nazarene, and #4 SUNY Morrisville in the West.

The divisional winners will meet for the championship game on Saturday, November 4. The championship will take place at the site of the East Divisional Winner with the time to be determined. The NAC Champion will move on to play in the 2023 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship.
